Introduction:

Nar Phu and Annapurna Semi Circuit Trekking an adventure that reaches you high and beautiful country of Nar and Phu villages, located beyond Annapurna Himalaya and scenic high Manang valley, one of the most remote and isolated country of Nepal Far North Mid-West region. Nar Phu and Annapurna Semi Circuit, where walk leads you into least frequented areas by other main flow of trekkers and adventurer, as this route been exposed and opened for outside world since last two decades, but as years went by attracting more visitors to witness its beautiful landscapes and medvial era villages of Nar and Phu. An adventure of great combinations that includes walking on main popular trails of Annapurna circuit for some days, and then our route diverts to far flung corners of Annapurna Himalaya and above Manang valley to reach marvelous Himalayan Shangri-la at Phu and Nar villages with exciting moments exploring its bygone days cultures and interesting traditional life on this weather beaten territory. Trekkers and visitors will gets fascinated being in this remote wilderness within the harmony of pristine nature of high mountains with dramatic landscapes and its quaint villages enriched with Buddhist religion and culture facing outmost views of towering peaks of Chulus, Himlung and Damodar Himal. After a wonderful and mystical time at Nar and Phu villages and its beautiful country as walk leads to cross high and scenic Kang-la pass to reach back on main Annapurna circuit trail to large Manang village enclosed within northern peaks of Annapurna and Chulus. From Manang adventure continues within dry and arid terrain to reach high above Thorang-la pass, on the highest spot of the trip facing super panorama of mountain range and rolling hills then ending the walk at holy Muktinath, a sacred spot for Hindu pilgrimage where the temple regarded as holiest of all holy temples of Lord Vishnu. At Muktinath with marvelous views of Nilgiri’s and Dhaulagiri mountain range then completing our journey at attractive and wind-blown town at Jomsom the major place of Mustang district, where short scenic flight brings you at famous touristic city in Pokhara by its serene Phewa Lake on concluding our mesmerizing  adventure on Nar-Phu Annapurna Semi Circuit Trekking with grand services of Nepal High Point Trekking.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On reaching at Kathmandu international airport received by Nepal High Point staff and guide with warm welcome then transfer to your hotel in centre of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed in your rooms join for group briefing regarding your stay in Nepal, where guides will provide information of the trek-local lodge- hotels-culture and other necessary information related to this trekking.

Day 02

Free day in Kathmandu for trek preparation and optional tour.
In Kathmandu, a free day preparation for Nar-Phu and Annapurna Semi Circuit trekking with optional sightseeing around Kathmandu, as the valley is steeped with many world heritage sites and important monuments and religious-historical sites.

Day 03

Drive to Dharapani1, 860 m- 07 hrs.
Morning a long and interesting overland journey from Kathmandu to reach Nepal Mid-West around Lamjung district at Besisar town and then towards Manang areas, where drive leads to Syange by the bank of Marysangdi River, with climb from here for few hours to reach at nice village at Jagat, after a refreshing stop at Jagat continue drive on gradual winding trail with super views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges to reach at Dharapani village for overnight stop.

Day 04

Trek to Kotto 2,540 m near Chame town 2,670 m - 05 hrs.
Morning walk leads on winding path within rhododendron, pine forest passing nice villages of Bagachap and Danque with climb to Timang a moderate size village, from here onward entering within more Buddhist religion and culture with great views of world 8 th highest Mt. Manaslu at above 8,163 m. After Timang village few hours walks to Koto near a big town of Chame for overnight stop, Chame a major and headquarter town of Manang area, with time for walks to Chame where Koto is the last place within Annapurna circuit trail, where next morning our route diverts from the main route.

Day 05

Trek to Dharmasala 3,230 m - 05 hours.
Trek leads into narrow valley enclosed with forest of pines and rhododendron trees, where walk takes within nice pasture fields with smaller huts and sheds of Yak herders and in a gorge formed by high peaks of Pisang and Kangguru Himal lower basin, walk continues following Nar-Phu River upstream to reach at Dharmashala for overnight stop.

Day 06

Trek to Kyang 3, 020 m - 05 hours.
Morning walks north towards Phu village within isolated area of dry and arid landscapes, walk continues to Kyang for overnight stop after an interesting day, Kyang with dozen houses of Tibetan culture.

Day 07

Trek to Phu village 4,080 m - 06hours.
Today reach at Phu village as morning walk leads to Phu River following for some time and then climb to reach a gorge for few hours then reaching a wide glacial valley with pasture lands at Phu village of strong Tibetan influence culture, traditions and religion.

Day 08

Rest day in Phu village for acclimatization and side walk.
A rest day at Phu for acclimatization, explore impressive village and Tashilkhang with Samdu Choling Monasteries and Kyauchyu waterfalls, Phu Village.

Day 09

Trek to Nar Phedi 3, 545 m - 06 hrs.
From Phu village walk back on the same trail for few hours then descend to a narrow gorge at Phu khola, from here a slow climb to reach at Yughat small village with chhorten a Buddhist shrines, then reaching a flat field at Nar Phedi for overnight stop.

Day 10

Trek to Nar-Gaon 4,206 m - 06 hrs.
Morning walk leads to Phu Khola for few hours to reach a suspension bridge over Phu Khola, crossing the bridge with steep climb for few hours reaching a flat area then walk to Nar village for overnight.

Day 11

Trek to Kang La Base Camp 4,530 m - 05 hrs.
After Nar-Gaon walk to remote areas an interesting walk for few hours and then taking short ups and downs in some rocky and arid path, past cattle herders shelters heading further west following Temdenzon khola with views of snow peaks and then reaching at Kang la pass base for overnight camp at 4,530 meters altitude.

Day 12

Cross Kangla Pass 5, 322 m trek to Ngawal 3,650 m - 07 hrs.
Starting early morning cross Kang-la at 5,322 m, climb higher on a steep slope for few hours with stunning views of Pisang Peak with Chulu Far East Peak, and then reaching on top with wonderful views of Annapurna mountain range, Chulu Peaks, Lamjung Himal and adjoining peaks. Walk downhill to Ngawal via Julu village close to Manang village to reach back at main route of Annapurna circuit trail.

Day 13

Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m - 05 hrs.
After Nar and Phu and crossing high Kangla pass which is a barrier between Manang and Nar-Phu valleys, as morning walk takes you on downhill towards Manang valley at Humde village, as walk continues at Braga village with time visiting old monastery facing grand panorama of Annapurna and Chulus peaks. After an interesting in the monastery, an hour walk takes you at main Manang village for overnight.

Day 14

Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m - 06 hrs.
On completing our visit both sides of Manang valley with Nar-Phu area, morning walk leads towards Khangsar village on uphill path then on near level trail to reach at a nice place in Yak Kharka for overnight stop, an interesting high altitude Yak grazing pasture at Yak Kharka with some good lodge to stay where you can catch tremendous views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.

Day 15

Trek to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m - 04 hrs.
Morning adventure heading high areas at the base of Thorang-la after climbing along the river bank, as walk leads to Thorang Phedi (bottom / base), from here an hour of steep climb takes you at Thorang High Camp for overnight stop.

Day 16

Cross Thorang-La Pass 5,416 m walk to Muktinath 3,800 - 06 hrs.
Today main highlight of the adventure, having early breakfast where trek leads to a steep climb to reach at high Thorang-la at above 5,416 m, facing tremendous panorama of snowcapped peaks, after feeling in high spirits on reaching the main highest spot of the trip where walk follows on long downhill to Muktinath at 3,800 m. On reaching Muktinath for overnight stop, a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’.

Day 17

From Muktinath drive to Jomsom 2,715 m- 02 hrs.
After Muktinath, where walking parts ends as motorable road has reached to this point at Muktinath through the town of Jomsom, which makes our adventure much easier where drive leads to a big drop of 1,200 m downhill to Kaligandaki river valley, and to Jomsom a headquarter town of Mustang region with a small airstrip above Kaligandaki River.

Day 18

Fly to Pokhara 860 m and transfer to hotel by the Phewa Lake.
Morning a short walk to Jomsom air-terminal where scenic and sweeping short flight reaches at Pokhara, during air-borne excellent views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range on both side of the plane window. Reaching at Pokhara airport drive of less than 30 minutes takes near scenic beautiful Phewa lake side for overnight stops.

Day 19

Drive or fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Having early breakfast where interesting drive brings you back in Kathmandu, as drive departs from Pokhara (either tourist coach or in private vehicles), as journey leads past many nice farm villages and town, from Mugling Bazaar following Trisuli River for sometimes, and then on winding uphill to reach into Kathmandu valley as well back to your respective hotels. Day 20

Depart Nepal for international flight home-ward bound.
Last day in the country of Himalayan wonders, after an amazing experience and wonderful adventure on Nar-Phu and Annapurna Semi Circuit treks with great service of Nepal High-Point Trekking and then depart from the hotel as per your flight time our staff transfers you to Kathmandu international airport for your home-ward flight or to next respective countries.
